They shake it off, just like you see Callie do in this clip. That movement is their nervous system discharging the stress so they don’t carry it forward. We humans don’t usually do that 😅 We store it in the body instead. We replay it in our mind and nervous system as we experience similar stressors long after the event. Instead of closing the loop on the energy and moving on, we get stuck in the stress cycle. But here’s the truth ⬇️ Our bodies are wired just like animals. Simple practices like intentional shaking, gentle movement, or breathwork can help us release stored tension and signal to the body: you’re safe now ♥️ That’s why practices like somatic dancing or even just shaking your body for a minute a day can be so powerful for healing.
