My husband has now gradua… more Lmaoooo I said I’d only update if there’s an issue, but I forgot the hardest part of having a prosthetic. It’s not pain, it’s funding! My husband has now graduated college and helped our family level up in the best way, so currently I am lucky enough to probably be able to set up a payment plan for all the pieces of my leg. In the past, I’ve had to prioritize only getting the socket in order to prevent further limb wounds or infection, and going without a new ankle or foot. Decisions like this make it hard to engage in fitness or go the extra mile for my children, again thankfully that shouldn’t be the case this time around. I’ve been working out all year, and improved my mobility rating from K2 to K3, and I REALLY care about continuing to get in shape, even if it means extra payments for longer. But yeah, I’ve been told we’re looking at $6k out of pocket I will have to pay off over the next 1-2 years, knowing I may even need a NEW PROSTHETIC before this one is paid off.
