The thought that billions of people across the world, from differe… more I genuinely cannot wrap my mind around the idea that only one religion holds the only truth. The thought that billions of people across the world, from different cultures and different traditions, would are doomed unless they convert and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior doesn’t feel right to me. The idea that there is only one singular path to reach God not only feels limiting, it feels completely contrary to the very nature of God. The thought that my grandmother in Japan, who is Buddhist, would be condemned because she never accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior… To me, this has always been one of the biggest disconnects. Honestly… I just don’t believe God is that small. It doesn’t sit right with me to shrink God down into something that excludes most of humanity. I.e., Billions of people on earth are not Christian. To say God would reject all of them never sat right in my spirit. My journey has brought me even deeper into God… in a way that feels expansive, loving and inclusive, not restrictive or exclusive. The God I know is infinite. Expansive.
