When I got the second call that my son didn't make it in surgery we were SPEEDING TO SHOCK TRAUMA. I stopped the vehicle and got out and just screamed EXACTLY LIKE THIS. It was like my entire insides were ripped out.I could feel him leaving me. The emptiness is so hard. Sounds dramatic to a regular person, But ask another mother who lost a child unexpectedly.
