Police Services across the country have come out with warnings, so | thought I'd include one to really make it resonate. At one point, I was contacted by the friend of a victim who truly believed we were speaking on a private account for months. You wouldn't believe how bad it got, crazy stories I'm happy to share. Even the detectives couldn't believe it. I was lucky to have resources for it to be investigated properly, because it also fell under police impersonation, but what about the thousands of others who don't? All you can do is be careful, be vigilant. Al has even taken it up a notch with voice simulation, grandparents are getting scammed more than ever thinking they're helping their own family. The problem with verified accounts is people associate it like social status, which is nonsense. All it does is verify the user is the actual person - THAT'S IT! Nothing else. I have one verified account on TikTok, IG, X, any other accounts aren't me, and everyone should have the ability to be verified for safety reasons. #PublicSafety #BeSafe less
