And they come in different types. ✨ Stellar nurseries like the Orion Nebula — where new stars are born. 🌟 Planetary nebulae like the Southern Ring Nebula — formed when Sun-like stars die (despite the name, nothing to do with planets!). 🌑 Dark nebulae like Barnard 68 — so dense they block light from stars behind them, creating eerie void-like patches in the sky (often confused with real cosmic voids like the Boötes Void). And then… 💥 Supernova remnants. These are nebulae left behind when massive stars explode. That’s exactly what the Crab Nebula is — the aftermath of a stellar explosion.
