Caption: today is juniper’s 2nd birthday, and today - four days before her scheduled spay - she went into heat. i have to wait until wednesday for the doctor i work with… more today is juniper’s 2nd birthday, and today - four days before her scheduled spay - she went into heat. i have to wait until wednesday for the doctor i work with to be back in the office and find out if she’s still comfortable doing the spay this week, or if i’ll have to push it out a month to make sure i’m able to watch her for her first couple days post-op. and all of this could have been avoided if she had been spayed as a kitten by her original owners. if cost is a concern, look into low cost spay/neuter clinics in your area, or (better yet in my personal experience,) the humane society typically has low income clinics, both for vaccinations as well as spay/neuter. #spayandneuter #cat less
