Fifty-three days before that, she had finally been diagnosed with kidney cancer… after a year of being told it was just low back pain. I remember the nights. Walking past her room… seeing her sitting cross-legged, folded over a pillow, heater pressed into her back… trying to take the pressure off. Sometimes she was crying. Sometimes she tried to hide it. But I saw it. I watched my mom search for answers. I watched her be told the wrong ones. And I remember the moment they said “maybe a year”… that turned into six months… that became 53 days. That doesn’t leave you. At 20, I found myself working in a clinic treating low back pain and slipped discs… and every time a patient told me they just wanted their life back… more time with their family… I understood. Not from training— from being the kid waiting for their parent to come back to them. Fast forward to now… It’s time to change the game. Testing. Tools. Food. Knowledge. Connection. All in one place.
