I remember on one of our first dates, @doctor.phoebe telling me one of her bucket list life goals was to qualify and run the Boston Marathon…. She has chased this through a decade of early mornings, medical school, hard miles, residency, pregnancy, attendinghood,and motherhood…. She has earned this and that will make tomorrow be that much sweeter! Tomorrow, we both toe the line at the Boston Marathon but this one is all about her! I get to be her husband. I get to be her training partner. And now I get to be right there beside her when she finally runs the race she’s dreamed of her entire life. I don’t take that privilege lightly for even a second. I am so proud it brings me to tears to even think about. Seeing someone you love accomplish their dreams surpasses any feeling of accomplishing your own…. To every friend and family member who has cheered her on, believed in her, and loved us through this journey…. thank you. You’re part of this too. Phoebe, I am so proud of you.
